Joe Moglia is Chief Executive Officer of TD Ameritrade, a position he has held since March 2001. Under Joe’s leadership, his team has
capitalized on nine merger and acquisition opportunities, including the two largest in the industry: TD Waterhouse
in January 2006 and Datek in September 2002.
Joe joined TD Ameritrade after spending 17 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was a member of the executive committees for both
the institutional business and the private client business. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Joe was the defensive
coordinator for Dartmouth College's football team, capping a 16-year coaching career.
Joe holds a master's degree in secondary education from the University of Delaware and a bachelor's degree in economics from
Fordham University in New York.
Joe serves on the boards of several organizations including TD Ameritrade; AXA Financial, Inc.; Creighton University; and the National
Italian American Foundation. In 2005, Joe authored the book Coach Yourself to Success: Winning the Investment Game in
which he explains the essential principles of investing.
