TD is pleased to be recognized by Canada’s Top 100 Employers as one of the Best Employers for New Canadians – an award recognizing organizations that offer programs that help new immigrants make the transition to a new workplace and life in Canada.

Among some of the programs provided by TD includes:

• Participating in the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council’s Mentoring Partnership program and mentored over 500 new Canadian jobseekers helping them access professional networks in their fields of expertise;
• Sponsoring and participating in the Internationally Educated Professionals (IEP) Conference – a recruitment event for skilled newcomers with education and experience in finance, economics, business and technology;
• Hiring new Canadians with a background in finance through the Financial Services Connections employment program – a program that helps people with a background in finance learn about the Canadian financial sector, develop their industry-specific business communication skills, and prepare to write the Canadian Securities Course exam;
• Partnering with Immigrant Services Calgary to launch a mentorship program for new Canadians in the Calgary-area.
