Generous. Energetic. Passionate. Compassionate. These are some of the words that describe the outstanding community spirit of TD employees.
TD employees have shown leadership in their communities
since our founding over 150 years ago, opening their hearts and wallets
to touch the lives of so many. Guided by our making a difference together
philosophy, TD people play a tremendous role by volunteering, fundraising
and making charitable contributions.
Volunteer program
Our employees devote countless hours to serve as mentors, to help feed the homeless, to participate in walkathons, to volunteer for children's hospitals and much more. They step up time and time again to participate in TD-sponsored events such as the TD Canada Trust Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up and Junior Achievement's "The Economics of Staying in School" program.
Employees enjoy working directly with charities and not-for-profits,
lending their skills and expertise to many of these groups in which they
have a personal connection. TD's Volunteer Grant Program
supports their commitment to the community. Employees who volunteer more
than 40 hours a year to a single registered charity are eligible to receive
a $500 grant for the organization.
To balance their work and voluntary commitments, TD helps
employees by offering flexible work arrangements and time off to support
causes of their choice through our Corporate Volunteer Policy.
We recognize that volunteerism is just as important as dollars and cents
for many community agencies in need of a helping hand.
Fundraising and monetary donations
As the heartbeat of TD's community involvement, employees' spirit of volunteerism comes to life in so many ways. Our employees raise millions of much-needed dollars through hundreds of fundraisers and their own personal contributions each year so charities can continue providing valuable services.
