TD’s diversity commitment extends to all walks of life. We want to be the better bank for customers and employees in all their variety – ethnicity, culture, religion, age, sexual orientation, physical ability or any other aspect.
Over the past several years, as part of a focused business strategy, we have multiplied our efforts to break down barriers and embed the principles of diversity and inclusion in our culture.
Currently, TD is placing extra focus on six key priorities:
- Building an agenda for people with disabilities – see Accessible Services
- Serving diverse communities – see Customer Diversity and Diversity in the Community
- Enhancing and promoting an inclusive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered employees and customers – see Diversity in Our Workplace and Customer Diversity
- Expanding leadership opportunities for visible minorities – see Diversity in Our Workplace
- Expanding leadership opportunities for women – see Diversity in Our Workplace
- Expanding opportunities for Aboriginal peoples – see Diversity in Our Workplace
Our Diversity Leadership Council has created subcommittees, chaired by executives, to drive action plans for each of these issues. As we make progress in these areas, our diversity plans and priorities will evolve. |
