With the closing of the Atlantic Raptor Rehabilitation Centre, FEF funding helped defray the cost of relocating the physical assets, like flight cages to the applicant and thus ensure raptors are provided with quality care during a recovery period.

Mahone Islands Conservation Association
FEF funding is helping educate and provide guidelines to those who use the island for recreational purposes. It also helps educate island inhabitants about the environmental and historical importance of preserving the environmental health of their island.

Discovery Centre
FEF funding is helping deliver the "Cool Science" program series which is designed to compliment the Nova Scotia science curriculum at each grade level from grades one through nine. The workshops encourage hands-on experimentation and collaborative learning, reinforcing key concepts of the science curriculum. Basic principles are explored on a wide variety of topics, such as cell biology, physics, earth sciences, ecology, and chemistry.
