About the position:
The TDBFG Management Rotational Program enables MBA graduates to complete four customized 6 month rotations within fast-paced and exciting areas throughout our organization. This rotational program focuses on specific high impact, development projects and will provide you with an opportunity for growth, personal development, and an understanding of business issues while also providing significant value to the organization. The length of the program is typically 24 months depending on the scope of the various projects you’ll be involved in.

Where you've been:
You are an enthusiastic team player who wants the opportunity to lead. And you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a Master of Business Administration. Product development and strategic planning experience are definitely an asset.

Where you're going:
You’ll connect with senior management, gaining valuable experience while developing leadership and management skills. After completing the series of projects, Associates build their careers with TD Bank Financial Group in areas of the enterprise where their interests and capabilities can be best leveraged for organizational impact.

A Day in the life of a TBFG Management Associate
8:00 a.m. There's time for a java and a quick once-over read of e-mail before our team meeting. I'm lead planner on a new marketing project that's almost reached completion.

8:30 a.m. We've put together a team of experts from a number of business units. We go over final details.

9:30 a.m. It's done. We've got a go. We've approved 168,000 mailings to cross-sell current TD Canada Trust customers a chequing or savings account by offering them a free gift. I'd take the blender. My new kitchen is pretty sparse.

10:00 a.m. Now it's time to start the core banking business review. I like the research involved in this project. It involves putting together information from the business environment, market economy, competition, regulatory environment, and developments in the area of technology. The goal is to figure out what the key strategic focus should be for the next fiscal year.

12:15 p.m. Lunch. I need a break. I grab a sandwich — cheese, hold the ham — and sit on a park bench and watch the world go by. I'm also digesting this morning's research. It's fascinating stuff.

1:20 p.m. I check my e-mail and answer a couple of queries about this morning's initiative. I call and book a round of golf for Sunday. First this season.

2:00 p.m. I meet with the Manager of the business unit, and we determine areas to focus on from initial findings of our market research. We decide on a time for tomorrow's meeting with the business unit team to review the information.

2:50 p.m. I call up the Manager of Insurance. He says he's looking forward to putting me to work in a couple of weeks. I like the learning experience in this rotation program. I’ve completed rotations at e.Bank and Merchant Services.

3:15 p.m. I put together a presentation to outline the cross-sell marketing campaign, including a budget proposal. I'm responsible for presenting this to the management team for their approval next week.

5:25 p.m. Time to call it a day — at least at the office. I put together some research for reading later tonight before bed. Meanwhile, I have dinner plans with another Associate. Of course, we'll be comparing notes and swapping stories.
