Flextime allows you to work a regularly scheduled number of hours that are less than the standard 37.5 hours per week. This may be accomplished by working fewer scheduled hours per day or fewer scheduled days per week.

Flexhours

Being able to vary my start and end times gives me the flexibility I need to do my job well - and still drive my mother to a medical appointment or cheer on my youngest at an out-of-town hockey tournament."

Flexhours is where you and your Manager establish flexible start and end times provided you work your full number of daily scheduled hours.

Flexweek

Flexweek offers you an opportunity to work your standard schedule of hours over a greater or fewer number of days.

Flexplace

"The commute from home to my office can take an hour and a half each way. On the days I work from home, I'm able to spend that commute time with my husband and kids. The added flexibility has improved my quality of life quite significantly."

Flexplace allows you (full-time or part-time employees) to work at a location other than your normal TDBFG workplace, usually at home, for all or part of the week.

Flexjob

"When the first of my two children was born, I welcomed the opportunity to share my full time job with another employee. Today, six years later, I have work I enjoy as well as the ability to spend time as a volunteer at my sons' school. My life feels very balanced."

The flexjob program allows you to share a full-time position with another employee. The number of hours worked by each partner may differ; however, both partners are equally responsible for the results of the position.

Flexreturn

"When it came time to return to work after my son Michael was born, I wanted to make the transition and the separation as easy as possible. Being able to build up to a five-day workweek over a 12-week period allowed us to adjust to our new routines gradually. Michael and I are both happy with the results!"

Flexreturn is a gradual return to normal duties and is available to all employees, male or female, returning from childcare leave (maternity/parental/adoption).
