For instance, we offer a comprehensive Workplace Accommodation Program. Available to all employees, the program works to remove barriers and provides employees and managers with a means to ask for assistance with accommodations such as workstation modifications or restructuring accountabilities.
We also actively engage with numerous organizations serving persons with disabilities on an ongoing basis. These include Ability Edge, Opportunity 45, Canadian Paraplegic Association, Champions Career and Employment Centre, CNIB, PartnerVision, and Line 1000.
TD Bank Financial Group has also enjoyed a long time relationship with the Canadian Hearing Society, which has honoured our business with two awards in recognition of our commitment to individuals who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing.
We participate in career fairs and campus recruitment programs in order to increase recruitment of persons with disabilities. We also continue to have an open dialogue with universities about how we can help students with disabilities understand that a career in financial services is a real option.
As well as sponsoring and participating in community events involving persons with disabilities, TD Bank Financial Group also works with other banks and organizations to support training programs which enable persons with disabilities to become Customer Service Representatives.
