Our People

Our Trailblazers

TD Bank Financial Group's commitment to our employee's development is demonstrated by our support of programs like Canada's Top 40 Under 40™ and Advancing Together.

Canada's Top 40 Under 40™

Established to honour Canadians who have become outstanding leaders in their chosen fields, before reaching the age of 40, Canada's Top 40 Under 40 ™ searches every sector of endeavour, in every region of the country, to discover and reward a new generation of leaders.

TD Bank Financial Group is delighted to work with Canada's Top 40 Under 40™ both as a recipient--several TD Bank Financial Group employees have been award-winners -and as a sponsor. We know how important leadership is, not just for our organization, but for Canada.

Advancing Together

In 1999, TD Bank was honoured to be presented with the prestigious Catalyst Award for Promotion of Women into Senior Management positions. The Catalyst Award recognized TD for "Advancing Together," a multi-tiered, systemic initiative for promoting women that includes components on career development, succession planning, respect and flexibility. Since the winning of that award, the Bank has expanded the initiative to include all employees, not just women, in strengthening its commitment to diversity.

Some of the programs and initiatives that have resulted from Advancing Together are: a web-based career development tool called People Development at TD, the creation of the Work/Life Manager role, Family care policy revisions, a guide to Parental leave for parents, Flexible work arrangements, Respect in the Workplace seminars, Bank Career Fairs, and TD Pulse (our employee opinion survey).

Today the Advancing Together committees at the Bank include work/life balance, and diversity in their mandate to support the advancement of all employees. Committees organize events, newsletters, web sites and programs to encourage wellness, work/life balance, understanding of diversity issues and professional development of our employees.

The best way to learn what it's really like to be a part of the TD Bank Financial Group is to listen to the people who know best, our employees.

TD values and is committed to diversity in its work force.
