Last year was a special test for so many mothers. They're already used to waking their kids, feeding their kids, entertaining and herding their kids. Last year was different because mothers, the world over, had to fuse one full-time job with another. They had to bounce their kids on laps during virtual meetings, meal plan while project planning, and manage online schooling and employees. The multi-tasking was endless. But when something has to get done, mothers simply get it done.
By the time the cold surrendered to spring, many of us had higher expectations for the following months. Those months went by. So did the year. We found ourselves doing the same song and dance, and we realized we had a long way to go. So the kids continued to star in virtual meetings. The meals continued to rush in and out of the oven. The homework continued to get mixed in with the contracts. We went on. And now we find ourselves cautiously celebrating the second Mother's Day of this pandemic. We find ourselves asking tougher questions about the future.
At TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM), we want to have important conversations. And we want to start right at home. This week, on a special Mother's Day edition of the TD Wealth for Women Speakers Series, we're bridging the generational gap. Join Host Yasmin Pestonji, Senior Manager, Women's Wealth Segment, TD Wealth, as she moderates a discussion between Ingrid Macintosh, Vice President, TD Wealth, and Head of Sales Enablement, Marketing and Communications, TD Bank Group, and Ingrid's daughter, Erin.
Together, they dive into the hot topics on many minds: financial literacy, financial confidence, and passing the torch to the next generation. Erin also shares how her mom motivates her to uplift other women. Listen in and get inspired to have the same important conversations. While you're at it, tell your mom she's doing a great job.
Happy Mother's Day from TDAM!
