As a Vice President on the ESG Research & Engagement Team, Vanessa serves as an ESG specialist, supporting ESG analysis internally, conducting company engagements and developing ESG thought leadership. Prior to joining the Investment Team, she worked on the Investment Risk Team, developing tools to quantify and attribute the ESG risks associated with investments, and worked to build awareness around the evolving ESG landscape.
She gained experience through the firm’s Rotational Program, completing rotations on the Credit Research, Fundamental Equity Research and High Yield Teams. Prior to 2016, she spent several years conducting public policy research in the U.S., analyzing various government entities' financial decisions concerning public infrastructure investment, public-private partnerships and the funding of pension liabilities.
Vanessa holds a B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of Notre Dame, an MPA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from McGill University.
She has also spoken at the RiskMinds Americas Conference in both September 2019 ("Sustainable Investing: Focusing in on Diversity & Inclusion") and September 2020 ("ESG integration and risk assessment in an evolving data context”).
