If you are specifying a Good
'til Date, keep in mind that the order must be 30 days or less, and cannot
expire on a weekend or holiday or after the expiry of the option.
Option orders in excess of
50 contracts will require special authorization and may affect the time of
processing.
On Stop orders are not allowed
on Canadian and U.S. option orders.
To place, change or cancel
orders to open a covered short option position, you must have a covering
position in the account. In addition, your account must be authorized to
trade covered options.
To place, change or cancel orders to open an uncovered short option position,
your account must be authorized to trade uncovered options. In addition,
your account must meet the minimum equity requirement: CDN$10,000 for equity
options or CDN$25,000 for index and currency options.
An option order with an All
or None restriction cannot have an expiry date greater than one day.
