Women’s Executive Network Recognizes Two TD Leaders

Every year, the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) releases a ranking of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women to celebrate what it describes as “the most exceptional and influential women” in the country. In 2009, two TD leaders – Kerry Peacock, EVP Branch Banking, TD Canada Trust, and Teri Currie, EVP Human Resources and Corporate and Public Affairs – were among the winners.

Kerry won in the Corporate Executives category and Teri – a three-time Top 100 winner – is joining TD’s CFO Colleen Johnston in the WXN Hall of Fame.

“This is great news,” said TD President and CEO Ed Clark. “Teri and Kerry are outstanding leaders and role models who share a passion for inspiring others to succeed – that’s a hallmark of great leadership.”

How do Kerry and Teri feel about the recognition? “It says a huge amount about TD’s commitment to helping people realize their goals and dreams,” said Teri.

“And,” added Kerry, “about the outstanding people we have in this organization – you don’t win awards like this without having great teams behind you.”

Both Kerry and Teri began their careers in a branch, Teri as a customer service representative in 1983 and Kerry as a clerk in 1981.
