Acquisition History 2006

In 2006, TD Bank Group (TD) believed that growing in the United States, through TD Banknorth and TD Ameritrade, was an important part of TD’s future. As such, on April 20, 2007, TD acquired all of the outstanding shares of TD Banknorth. TD Banknorth, which completed the acquisition of Hudson United Bancorp on January 31, 2006, continued to expand its presence in Northern New Jersey with the acquisition of Interchange Financial Services Corporation. TD also acquired VFC, a leading provider of automotive purchase financing and consumer installment loans.
