Public Equities Investments Team

Vitali is the Head of Public Equities. In this role, Vitali oversees the strategic direction and day-to-day operations for Public Equities, including Fundamental, Quantitative, and Passive Equities, as well as Passive Fixed Income. Vitali also manages the TD U.S., Global, and International Research Equity funds. Previously, Vitali was Head of Fundamental Equity Research. Prior to assuming that role, Vitali was responsible for providing investment recommendations on the Global Technology, Canadian Energy Infrastructure, and Canadian Telecommunication industries. He also has experience covering the Precious Metals sector as a Research Associate at a leading Canadian financial services firm. Vitali holds a B.B.A. from the University of Toronto. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant.

Julien is the Head of Quantitative Investing. He oversees the team responsible for the modelling, research and management of various Quantitative strategies, including Low Volatility Equities and Disciplined Alpha Equities, in addition to the teams responsible for the management of Passive Equities and Passive Fixed Income. He previously headed the Quantitative Equity Team and, before that, was Lead Portfolio Manager for the firm's Systematic Alpha, Low Volatility and Low Volatility Plus funds. He previously co-managed the firm’s Institutional Asset Allocation mandates, designed asset allocation models, and built quantitative strategies for long-only and market neutral equity funds, as well as Canadian and global bond funds. Julien holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Applied Financial Economics, both from HEC Montréal.

Lin is the Head of Quantitative Research and a portfolio manager for TD Epoch. Prior to joining TD Epoch in 2017, Lin was a vice president and equity strategist on the Global Quantitative Research team at Morgan Stanley, where she helped launch their global quantitative product and published research on a variety of topics, including stock selection and ESG investing. Before that, she was an assistant vice president and senior research analyst on the Quantitative Research and Portfolio Strategy team at Sanford C. Bernstein. Lin began her career as a consulting associate at FMI Corp. Lin has a B.A. in Economics from Nanjing University, and an M.A. in Economics from Duke University.

Laurie-Anne is the Head of Passive Investing and is the lead portfolio manager for all passive equity mandates. She previously co-managed Quantitative Equity portfolios and was the lead portfolio manager of the U.S. and Canadian mandates. She continues to help manage the various quantitative ETF mandates. Laurie-Anne previously provided risk oversight for Fund of Funds solutions. She gained experience in various research roles covering a variety of asset classes. Laurie-Anne holds a B.A. in Administrative and Commercial Studies, Finance and Economics from Western University and an M. Fin. from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Yuriy leads the Quantitative Equity research team where he directs the alpha and risk models research and the design of quantitative equity strategies. Previously, he worked as a Director and Portfolio Manager overseeing tactical asset allocation strategies at a large institutional investment fund. Yuriy has extensive experience as a Portfolio Manager of U.S. and international equities as well as fixed income portfolios at prominent investment management firms. He also served as a Senior Consultant at an international risk analytics consulting firm. Yuriy holds an M.Econ. from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria, and an M.Sc. from the Université du Quebec à Montréal.

Miroslav leads the team responsible for Software Development, Database Design, Programming and Data Integrity. He previously conducted portfolio management, analysis and database programming for the firm. Miroslav has an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb.

Emin leads the Quantitative Equity portfolio management team and is the lead portfolio manager for all Quantitative Equity mandates. Emin is also the macro strategist of the team and conducts various research projects related to monetary, fiscal, geopolitical and socio-demographic trends. He prepares reports identifying global economic risks and opportunities facing equity markets, interest rates and currencies. He was formerly a Senior Global Strategist at an investment research firm and holds a B.Econ. from Yerevan State University and an M.Sc. from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.

Michael is the Co-Head of the Canadian Portfolio Management team. He is the Lead Manager of the TD Canadian Equity Fund, TD Greystone Canadian Equity Fund and Canadian Large-Cap Equity Strategies. Formerly, he was an Equities Analyst focused primarily on North American Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staple, Media and Cable. Michael has a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University and an M.A. in Political Science from Dalhousie University.

Jennifer is the Co-Head of the Canadian Portfolio Management team and Lead Manager of the TD Dividend Growth Fund, TD Private Investment Counsel (PIC) Canadian Dividend Model and TD Canadian Blue Chip Dividend Fund. She is also Co-Manager of the TD Monthly Income Fund, TD Dividend Income Fund, TD Canadian Diversified Yield Fund and PIC North American Blue Chip Model. Jennifer was previously the Lead Manager of TD's resource funds and, before that, did fundamental equity research for Canadian-oriented equity mandates. She is a member of the TD Wealth Asset Allocation Committee. Jennifer holds a B.Comm. from Queen’s University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Damian is the Co-Head of the Global Portfolio Management team and Lead Manager of funds and separately managed accounts in the Global, U.S. and Sustainability space. Global mandates include the TD Global Equity Focused Fund and TD Global Tactical Monthly Income fund. U.S. mandates include the TD U.S. Dividend Growth Fund, TD U.S. Monthly Income Funds and TD U.S. Equity Focused Funds. In sustainability, he leads the TD North American Sustainability Leaders Funds. In addition, he also co-manages of the TD North American Dividend Fund, TD Tactical Monthly Income Fund, TD Global Enhanced Dividend ETF, TD US Enhanced Dividend ETF, TD Balanced Growth Fund and TD Diversified Monthly Income Fund. Damian previously gained experience managing U.S. Equity and Tactical Asset Allocation Funds at a major Canadian financial institution. He started his career as an analyst and subsequently became the co-manager of the firm's Proprietary Investment Desk. Damian holds a B.Comm. from the University of Toronto.

Benjamin is the Co-Head of the Global Portfolio Management team and Lead Manager for the TD Tactical Monthly Income Fund, TD North American Dividend Fund, TD North American Dividend Model, TD Balanced Growth Fund, TD Diversified Monthly Income Fund, TD Active Global Enhanced Dividend ETF and TD Active U.S. Enhanced Dividend ETF. He is Co-Manager for the TD Global Equity Focused Fund, TD Global Tactical Monthly Income Fund, TD U.S. Dividend Growth Fund, TD U.S. Dividend Model, TD U.S. Monthly Income Fund, TD U.S. Equity Focused Fund, PIC North American Blue Chip Model, TD North American Sustainability Leadership Model, TD North American Sustainability Balanced Fund, TD North American Sustainability Equity Fund, and the TD Options Premium Income Pool. He previously held Primary Analyst responsibilities for the global banking, global technology, global media and global telecom sectors. Benjamin started his career at the company as a member of the Derivatives team, where his responsibilities included portfolio management and research for derivative-based portfolios and passive strategies. Prior to joining the firm, he spent five years as an Engineering Analyst in the Aerospace industry. Benjamin holds a B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Juliana is Co-Head of Public Equity Research. In this role, she oversees the strategic direction, day-to-day operations, and analyst development for the Public Equity Research team. Juliana is also responsible for providing investment research and recommendations on the Public Equities team. She has held primary coverage responsibilities for the Global Industrials and Global Consumer Staples sectors. Juliana co-manages the TD Canadian Equity Fund, TD Greystone Canadian Equity Fund and the PIC Canadian Blue Chip Fund and Model. She completed the TD Asset Management Rotational Program, rotating through the Strategy, Asset Allocation and Public Equities teams. She holds a B.B.A. with Honours and an M.Sc. in International Business, both from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Tarik is Co-Head of Public Equity Research. In this role, Tarik oversees the strategic direction, day-to-day operations and analyst development for the Public Equity Research team. Tarik is also responsible for providing investment research and recommendations on the Public Equities team. Over the last eleven years on the team, Tarik has held primary analyst responsibilities for the global consumer staples, global healthcare and global banking sectors. Tarik is lead manager for the TD Global Healthcare Leaders Index ETF. Tarik is co-manager for the TD Balanced Growth Fund and TD U.S. Equity Focused Fund. He was previously an Associate on the Derivatives, Structured & Passive Equity team. Tarik joined the firm through the Investment Analyst Rotational Program, rotating through the Operations, Risk Management and Portfolio Management teams. Tarik holds a B. Comm. in Finance from the University of Ottawa.

Andrew is a Vice President & Director on the Public Equities team and provides coverage on the Semiconductor and Technology Hardware sectors. He earned progressively more senior analyst positions at investment firms, including a major Canadian bank and the Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund Board. Andrew holds a B.A. in Honours Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Heather is a Vice President & Director on the Public Equities team and provides research coverage of the Global Infrastructure sector, focusing on Global Midstream, Utilities and Diversified Infrastructure. She has experience in Fixed Income markets, including credit, and has covered several sectors and geographies within equities over her career. She is also a past-President of the CFAI Saskatchewan chapter. Heather holds a B. Admin with Honours from the University of Regina.

Terence is a Vice President & Director on the Public Equities team, responsible for co-managing U.S., International and Global equity strategies and providing coverage on the Chemicals sector. He was previously responsible for coverage of various industrial sectors. Prior to that, Terence was an equity analyst with an asset management firm and gained experience as a Research Associate at several large investment firms and with an internship at a major Canadian bank. Terence holds a B.Sc. with a Specialization in Actuarial Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

Andriy is the Lead Manager of the TD Precious Metals Fund and TD Resource Fund. He also provides investment recommendations for companies in the Commodities Extraction industries, including oil and gas, metals and mining, agriculture and related areas. Andriy was previously an Associate on the Canadian Value team, responsible for fundamental research and analysis of equity investments. He completed the Rotational Program, rotating through the Core Canadian Equity, Investment Risk, High Yield, Equity Index and Synthetics teams. Andriy holds a B.A. in International Management from the National Agricultural University in Kyiv, Ukraine, an MA in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Jeff is Vice President and Director of Empirical Research within the firm's Public Equities Team and Lead Portfolio Manager of the TD Active Global Real Estate Equity ETF. He focuses on factor analysis and quantitative risk assessment for the TD Active Global Infrastructure Equity ETF and the TD Active Global Real Estate Equity ETF and institutional and retail equity funds. Jeff leads the Empirical Research team, which supports portfolio managers and analysts across the firm's Public Equities team on a global basis. He is also Co-Lead Portfolio Manager the TD Active Global Infrastructure Equity Strategy. Jeff oversees ongoing management of the Fund’s quantitative characteristics. He held progressively more senior roles at several major Canadian bank-owned broker dealers. He holds a B.Math. from the University of Waterloo and an L.L.M. from Osgoode Hall at York University.

Irina manages the Fixed Income, Currency and Derivatives Trading team that executes fixed income, currency and derivatives across various sectors and geographies, including fixed income, options, futures, foreign exchange, commodities, swaps. She has experience in trade execution, market structure, risk management, financial reporting and fund accounting. Irina holds a B.A. and M.Fin., both from the University of Toronto and has been a CFA Charterholder since 2003. Irina is the Vice Chair of the Canadian Bond Investor's Association, a member of the Ontario Securities Commission's Market Structure Advisory Committee and a member of the Disciplinary Review Committee at the CFA Institute.

As a Senior Equity Trader with the firm, Judy holds a lead role in the execution of global high touch orders and programs, as well as executing preferred and convertible debentures. Through a pre-trade analysis of liquidity factors and market conditions, she determines the appropriate trading strategies ensuring they meet client objectives and are in line with compliance policies and regulatory guidelines. Judy holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto.

As a Senior Equity Trader with the firm, Roberta holds a lead role in the execution of all single stock, high touch trades, as well as program and index trading. As a trader, she implements trading strategies on a global basis by leveraging technology and a strong network of relationships, ensuring that trading is managed in compliance with clients' investment policies and regulatory guidelines. Roberta gained experience as an equity trader at various investment companies prior to joining the firm, and is a member of the Canadian Security Traders Association and the Institutional Equity Traders Association. She holds a B.Com. from the University of Toronto.

Jafer is Head of Client Portfolio Management at the firm, covering equity, fixed income, alternative and multi-asset strategies. He leads a team of investment professionals who communicate and deliver investment solutions to clients through collaboration with portfolio managers, relationship managers and distribution teams. Jafer was previously the Head of Institutional Asset Allocation at the firm where he was accountable for designing strategic asset mix, fund selection and portfolio management of active balanced funds and custom fund of fund solutions. He has previous experience working in fixed income and investment solutions development as a Vice-President with a global investment management firm along with experience within investment consulting. Jafer holds a B.B.A. with Honours from Wilfrid Laurier University.
