3Groceries purchased from superstores and/or warehouse clubs may only earn 1% Cash Back. Eligible purchases do not include purchases of any cash equivalents, money orders, and/or gift cards or reloading of gift cards.
Every quarter, choose your 3% and 2% Spend Categories, and earn 1% on all other purchases. At time of card opening, the card Spend Categories will default to 3% Cash Back on Dining, and 2% at Grocery Stores. Each quarter, you can choose to change your Spend Categories. The Grocery offer works by applying an additional 3% Cash Back to the Grocery Store purchases. If Grocery Store purchases are not moved from the 2% Spend Category, you will get 5% Cashback on Grocery Store purchases from six months from the account open date or for up to $6,000 in spend. If during the offer period, you adjust the Grocery Store spend to the 3% Spend Category, you will have eligible purchases earn 6% of Cashback, likewise if you move Grocery Store to 1% spend, then those eligible purchases could earn 4% during the promotional period. After 6 months from the account open date or if you have spent $6,000 in eligible Grocery Store purchases, whichever comes first, Cash Back on Grocery Store spend will default to the Spend Category you have chosen Grocery Store purchases, 3%, 2%, or 1%.
Dining: The Dining Spend Category may include merchants that are primarily sit-down, fine dining and/or fast-food restaurants.
Entertainment: The Entertainment Spend Category may include merchants with their primary business is for recreational and entertainment services including movie theaters, ticket agencies, amusement parks and tourist attractions.
Gas Stations: The Gas Stations Spend Category may include merchants selling automotive gasoline at the pump or inside the station.
Grocery Stores: The Grocery Stores Spend Category may include merchants that offer a full line of groceries including a deli, bakery and meat department. Their primary products include grocery items and include smaller convenience stores and bakeries.
Travel: The Travel Spend Category may include merchants offering the purchase of airline tickets, hotel stays, car rental agencies, train tickets, bus lines, travel agencies, cruise lines along with parking and tolls.
