How to Authenticate/Decline Payments/Deletions

Note: Before you can Authenticate payments:

To authorize/decline a transaction:

  1. You must have selected a transaction(s) from the Authorize Grid.

  2. You must have opened the Authentication form by clicking 'Submit' from the Authorize page.

Note: All transactions selected will be authenticated together at one time.
Upon entering the Authentication form your User ID and Connect ID are displayed. A challenge is generated for this session.

  1. Press ON/C on your Authentication Device.

  2. Press the red button on your device.

  3. Enter your Authentication Device's PIN into the device.

  4. Press = (Equals) button on the device. The device is now ready to authenticate a payment. Before proceeding with Step 5, you must:

    • be in the process of authorizing a payment
    • have the Authenticate form displayed on your PC
  5. Enter the 7-digit Challenge number (from the Challenge field displayed on the Authorization form on your PC) into the device.

  6. Press = (Equals) button on the device. A number is displayed on the device. This is the Response

  7. Enter the Response number (from your device) into the Response field on the Authorization form displayed on your PC

  8. Click OK on your PC

  9. Turn off your Authentication Device

  10. Review/Print the Results page
