Allows you to create a transfer using a template that you previously saved.

Transfers performed on a regular basis can be saved as Templates, in the Template Maintenance page or during the Create Transfer process. Once a transfer has been saved as a Template it can be modified and resaved or deleted in the Template Maintenance page.

All of the CAD/USD templates that you have created will be available in the dropdown.

Up to 100 templates may display, sorted in alphanumeric order.

Button

When this button is clicked the page will be prefill with the details from the template you selected.

Note: Changes you make to the transfer will not be saved to the template.

From Account

Dropdown

Allows you to select the account to transfer funds from.

All of the accounts that have been assigned to you will display in this dropdown with the exception of external accounts which can only be credited.

Sorted in account number order (i.e. branch then account).

To Account

Dropdown

Allows you to select the account to transfers funds to.

The dropdown will remain empty until a From Account is chosen. Once selected, only the accounts of the opposite currency of the From Account that are assigned to you will be displayed.

Allows you to enter the amount you wish to transfer.

Before 8:00 PM ET, the limit is up to $250,000.
From 8:00 PM ET to 11:58 PM, the limit is $100,000

Allows you to select the currency you wish to assign to the amount entered.

Allows you to define a description that will appear on the To Account’s monthly bank statement to help you identify where and why the funds were transferred.

Although you can enter your own description a default description will be assigned for you when you select the From Account. This default description ensures that you’ll know where the money was transferred From by displaying as ’FR' followed by the From Account’s transit and account number.

Step 2 of 3: Confirm

Description

Displays all of the transfer information entered in Step 1, with the addition of:

From Amount/Currency

When this button is clicked the page will be prefill with the details from the template you selected.

To Amount/Currency

Displays the Amount that will credited to the To Account.

Exchange Rate

Displays the rate provided for your transfer.

If your company has not subscribed to authorization or authentication, the converted amount of the transfer will determine the length of time you have to review and accept the rate:

  • $1- $35,000 = 60 seconds
  • $35,001 - $250,000 = 30 seconds

If your company subscribes to authorization or authentication, the rate currently presented is for informational purposes only.  An official rate will be provided once the transfer has been fully authorized.

Allows you to confirm the details of the transfer.

Step 3 of 3 : Confirmation

Displays all of the transfer information in Step 2 with the addition of:

Displays the ID assigned to the Transfer. Each Transfer is assigned a unique number to differentiate the transfer in your company Audit Log.

Displays CAD/USD Transfer.

Last Modified On

Displays the date that the transfer was last modified.

By

Displays the User ID of the individual who last modified the transfer.

Authorization Status

Text

Displays the Authorization Status.

If no authorization or authentication is required, the authorization status will display as ‘No Authorization Required’ otherwise it will display ‘Pend/Auth’.

Processed

Text

Displays the date and time that the transfer was processed.

If no authorization or authentication is required, the date and time the transfer is initiated is displayed otherwise it will be blank since the transfer still requires authorization.

Transfer Status

Text

Displays the Transfer Status.

If no authorization or authentication is required, the status with be either Rejected or Successful otherwise it will be blank since the transfer still requires authorization.

Reason

Text

Displays the specific details with regards to the Transfer Status (e.g. why a transfer was rejected).

Returns you to Step 1 of the Create a CAD/USD Transfer process.

Business Rules

  1. The amount of individual transfers as well as the combined total of transfers are checked against limits that have been defined in your company profile.
  2. Transfers can only be made between CAD and USD Dollar accounts.
  3. Only credits are allowed to external accounts.
  4. Transfers posted after 9:00 PM ET will be posted on the next business day.
  5. The maximum transfer amount is determined by the time of day the transfer is initiated. Before 8:00 PM ET up to $250,000 may be transferred and after, up to $100,000.
  6. When creating the transfer from a template, you may change any field saved in the template, however the changes will not be updated and saved in the template for future use.
  7. Exchange Rate
    • For companies that are not registered for authorization or authentication, the rate displayed is the official rate your company will receive for this transfer.
    • If your company is registered for authorization or authentication, the rate is not official until the transfer is fully authorized. Until then, the rate received is for informational purposes only.
  8. The converted dollar amount of the transfer determines the time you will have to review and accept the rate.  For amounts:
    • Less than or equal to $35,000, the rate is available for 60 seconds
    • Greater than $35,000, the rate is available for 30 seconds
  9. Reverse and Resubmit functions are not available for CAD/USD Transfers.
