TD Active Trader - Web/desktop updates
We heard your feedback and have enhanced your online trading experience. Your web and desktop platforms will automatically update with the new changes.
Check out the upgrades:
1. Chart updates
- New chart indicators: The TD Active Trader Chart has been enhanced with additional technical indicators. These updates strengthen the platform’s analytical capabilities and support more informed market analysis and client discussions. New indicators include: Chaikin Money Flow, Bollinger Band % (B%), Hull Moving Average, Historical and Implied Volatility, Volume Average, Acceleration Bands, Donchian Channel, Elder Force Index, EMA Clouds, Stochastic RSI, and Super Trend.
- Multi‑Chart Crosshair Sync: A Crosshair Sync option has been added when viewing charts in the multi‑chart tool, allowing crosshairs to move in sync across charts.
- Volume Profile drawing types: Two new drawing types have been added - Range Volume Profile and Anchored Volume Profile.
- Multiple indicator scales: Indicators can now be displayed on different scales. The scale can be selected under Overlaying in the indicator settings when adding an indicator to a chart.
- Horizontal Grid Setting: A new horizontal grid option has been added to chart settings and can be enabled by selecting the horizontal grid checkbox.
2. Orders widget updates
- Order Status Shortcut Filters: New shortcut filters provide quick access to Open, Filled, and Cancelled orders. The All view supports custom filtering while displaying all orders.
- Updated Underlying Filter: The Underlying filter has been updated to allow selection by underlying symbol, returning all related orders, including options orders.
3. Account statement updates
- Cash transaction symbols: Cash transactions, including dividend payments, now display the symbol of the associated security.
4. Screener Widget Updates
- Screener results data points: Additional data points have been added to the Results section of the screener tool, including Mark Change, Mark % Change, Quote Trend, Days to Expiration, Ex‑Div Date, Dividend Frequency, Dividend Pay Date, Industry, and Industry Group.
5. Risk profile widget updates
- Delta and Position Delta metrics: Delta and Position Delta calculations have been updated to include values for non‑option instruments.
6. General updates
- Alert notifications: SMS, email, and push notifications are now available for both Price and Calendar alerts, with support for English and French. Notification preferences can be managed in Notification Settings once a phone number and/or email address is set up.
- Position and Order icons: Position (Long/Short) and Order (Buy/Sell) icons have been added across the platform to make it easier to identify securities with open positions or orders, for both equities and options. These icons appear in most widgets with symbol search, including Option Chain, Positions, and Watchlist, and can be shown or hidden through individual widget settings.
- Detached workspaces: The Detach Widget option has been removed from individual widgets and replaced with the ability to detach an entire workspace from the workspace menu. This update simplifies multi‑monitor setups by allowing a workspace with one or more widgets to be detached and managed as a single unit.
- Export to CSV: Export to CSV has been added to the Orders, Trade History, Trade Journal, and Account Statement widgets. This option is available from the hamburger menu in the upper‑right corner of each widget.
