How to Reset Your Password on the TD app
Step 1. Tell us who you are
On the TD app login page, select 'Forgot password'.
Fill in the Username or Access Card # field and select Next at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2. Verify your identity
To verify your identity, you'll need a security code.
Choose whether to receive the code via a call or text message. (For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ve selected the Text Me button.)
Then, select the Send Code button at the bottom of the screen.
Standard wireless carrier message and data rates and roaming fees may apply.
We will never contact you for this code. Do not reveal it to anyone else.
When you receive your 6-digit security code, type it into the Enter Security Code field and select Next at the bottom of the screen.
Your code will expire in a few minutes. If you don’t receive a code or need a new one, select Send a New Code. It may take a minute or two to arrive.
Step 3. Choose a new password
Fill in the New Password field. View what you’re typing by selecting Show below the eye icon.
Your password must have:
- Between 8 and 32 characters
- At least 1 letter and 1 number
Confirm your new password by entering it in the Confirm New Password field.
Then, select Done at the bottom of the screen.
- Strengthen your password using upper and lower-case letters, and special characters (such as !, @, or ?)
- Avoid using the same password across different logins
Congratulations! You have now reset your password.
Select Continue to carry on using the app as usual.
