Benefits of Interac e-Transfer
Recipients are typically notified by email or text message within one minute3 of an Interac e-Transfer transaction.
Send or request money using EasyWeb or the TD app4, to anyone with an email address or mobile number and a Canadian bank account2,5.
Account details are protected. Recipients not using Autodeposit require a security question that only you and the recipient know the answer to.
TD customers can obtain additional remittance details if included in the Interac e-Transfer® transaction for more 'intelligent' commerce.
Interac e-Transfer Fees
The Send Money transfer fee, if applicable, is charged to the account from which the money is sent at the time it is sent5.
The Request Money transfer fee, if applicable, is charged to the account into which the money is deposited at the time of deposit, if the recipient accepts the request5. There is no transfer fee to accept a request5.
Personal accounts with no Interac e-Transfer Fees
These accounts do not incur a transfer fee whenever you send or request money.
Interac e-Transfer Request Money helps make it easy for people to pay you. Recipients are notified of your request through email or text message, and they can pay you through their own participating Canadian financial institution2 using Interac e-Transfer. If the recipient accepts your request, you're notified once the money is deposited directly into the TD bank account you choose5. Use Request Money as a reminder for a friend to pay you back, or include an invoice number as a convenient way for customers to pay you!

Interac e-Transfer® - Receive Money - Direct to Account
Get Paid in real time. Ideal for customers who:
Want payments deposited directly to their bank account in real time
Want to eliminate the need to answer a security question
Don't want to manage their email inbox or text messages to receive payments
Senders may have the choice to include additional remittance details with the payment (e.g. invoice and purchase order information), to help make reconciliation easier.
Please never give out your personal banking information to sources you don't know or trust.

6 Once Autodeposit has been set up for the email address you entered, when someone uses Interac e-Transfer to send money using that email address, the money will be automatically deposited to the chosen account, if the sender sent the money from a financial institution that supports Autodeposit; and the sender does not otherwise require you to answer a security question.
