TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended December 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 120,603. This is 0.4% higher than November 2003, and is 34% higher than December 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$172.3 billion as of December 31, 2003, 4% higher than November 2003 and a 39% increase from December 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 31,167. This is 20% higher than November 2003 and is 9% higher than December 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$4.6 billion at December 31, 2003, up 4% from a month earlier and a 52% increase from December 31, 2002.
  • As of January 9, 2004, the firm experienced a 33% increase in trades per day from the previous month's average.

November 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended November 30, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 120,064. This is 3% higher than October 2003, and is 20% higher than November 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$166.3 billion as of November 30, 2003, 2% higher than October 2003 and a 30% increase from November 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 25,971. This is 1% higher than October 2003 and is 11% lower than November 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$4.43 billion at November 30, 2003, up 7% from a month earlier and a 46% increase from November 30, 2002.
  • As of December 9, 2003, the firm experienced a 6% increase in trades per day from the previous month's average.

October 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended October 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 116,500. This is 4% lower than September 2003, and is 35% higher than October 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$162.7 billion as of October 31, 2003, 5% higher than September 2003 and a 31% increase from October 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 25,785. This is a 3% decrease from September 2003 and is 20% lower than October 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$4.15 billion at October 31, 2003, up 3% from a month earlier and a 53% increase from October 31, 2002.
  • For the first six days of November 2003, the firm experienced a 14% increase in trades per day from the previous month's average.

September 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended September 30, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 120,800. This is 29% higher from August 2003, and is 59% higher than September 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$155.1 billion as of September 30, 2003, 1% higher from August 2003 and a 36% increase from September 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 26,700. This is a 25% increase from August 2003 and is 6% higher than September 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$4.0 billion at September 30, 2003, up 11% from a month earlier and a 41% increase from September 30, 2002.
  • In the early part of October 2003, the firm experienced a 9% decrease in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

August 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended August 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 93,700. This is a 12% decrease from July 2003, and is 13% higher than August 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$153.4 billion as of August 31, 2003,a 4% increase from July 2003 and a 22% increase from August 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 21,300. This is a 14% decrease from July 2003 and is 28% lower than August 2002.
  • Margin loans stayed flat month over month at US$3.6 billion as of August 31, 2003, and a 32% increase from August 31, 2002.
  • In the early part of September 2003, the firm experienced a 27% increase in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

July 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended July 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 106,800. This is a 10% decrease from June 2003, and is 4% higher than July 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$148.0 billion as of July 31, 2003,a 1% increase from June 2003 and a 20% increase from July 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 24,700. This is a 7% decrease from June 2003 and is 27% lower than July 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$3.6 billion at July 31, 2003, up 4% from a month earlier and a 21% increase from July 31, 2002.
  • In the early part of August 2003, the firm experienced an 11% decrease in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

June 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended June 30, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 118,500. This is a 13% increase from May 2003, and is 31% higher than June 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$146.3 billion as of June 30, 2003,a 3% increase from May 2003 and a 12% increase from June 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 26,600. This is a 20% increase from May 2003 and is 5% lower than June 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$3.5 billion at June 30, 2003, up 8% from a month earlier and a 1% increase from June 30, 2002.
  • In the early part of July 2003, the firm experienced a 12% decrease in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

May 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended May 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 104,900. This is a 24% increase from April 2003, and is 12% higher than May 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$142.2 billion as of May 31, 2003,a 6% increase from April 2003 and a 3% increase from May 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 22,200. This is a 32% decrease from April 2003 and is 31% lower than May 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$3.2 billion at May 31, 2003, up 6% from a month earlier and a decrease of 13% from May 31, 2002.
  • In the early part of June 2003, the firm experienced a 25% increase in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

April 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended April 30, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 85,000. This is a 9% increase from March 2003, and is 14% lower than April 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$134 billion as of April 30, 2003,a 6% increase from March 2003 and a 2% decrease from April 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 32,400. This is a 17% increase from March 2003 and is 42% lower than April 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$3.0 billion at April 30, 2003, up 4% from a month earlier and a decrease of 22% from April 31, 2002.
  • In the early part of May 2003, the firm experienced a 21% increase in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

March 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended March 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 78,000. This is a 9% increase from February 2003, and is 30% lower than March 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$126 billion as of March 31, 2003,a 1% increase from February 2003 and a 10% decrease from March 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 27,800. This is a 1% increase from February 2003 and is 37% lower than March 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$2.9 billion at March 31, 2003, down 3% from a month earlier and a decrease of 26% from March 31, 2002.
  • In the early part of April 2003, the firm experienced a 2% decrease in trades per day activity from the previous month's average.

February 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended February 28, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 71,630. This is a 22% decrease from January 2003, and is 31% lower than February 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$125 billion as of February 28, 2003, no change from January 2003 and an 8% decrease from February 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 27,343. This is an 8% decrease from January 2003 and is 37% lower than February 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$3.0 billion at February 28, 2003, down 1% from a month earlier and a decrease of 20% from February 28, 2002.
  • In the early part of March 2003, the firm experienced consistent trades per day activity compared to the previous month's average.

January 2003

TD Waterhouse reports the following monthly activity for the period ended January 31, 2003:

  • Total trades per day averaged 92,700. This is a 3% increase from December 2002, and is 19% lower than January 2002.
  • Total customer assets were US$125 billion as of January 31, 2003, no change from December 2002 and a 10% decrease from January 2002.
  • New accounts opened totaled 29,800. This is a 4% increase from December 2002 and is 30% lower than January 2002.
  • Margin loans were US$3.1 billion at January 31, 2003, up 3% from a month earlier and a decrease of 21% from January 31, 2002.
