Renu Gupta
Senior Executive Vice President and
Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer

Renu Gupta serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer at TD Bank Group. In this role, she leads key capabilities that help accelerate strategy, growth, and execution across TD, including Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, Digital Assets, Payments, Partnerships, and Procurement. 

Renu joined TD in 2020, bringing extensive experience across banking, strategy, and corporate development. Previously, Renu served as EVP, Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer of TD Securities. In this role, she led TD’s organic and inorganic strategies including strategic business planning and the execution of M&A and partnership deals across the Bank. She also led the global finance team for TD Securities, overseeing financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, product control, regulatory reporting, internal controls, capital and liquidity management, and remediation work. 

In her previous roles at TD, Renu led Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations, and has also held roles in Treasury, including leading Enterprise Capital, Funding, and Recovery & Resolution Planning.

Prior to joining TD, Renu was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where she spent 20 years in a variety of senior roles in the Investment Banking Division across M&A and financing. 

Renu holds a BA in Cognitive Neuroscience from Harvard College and lives in New York with her husband and two children.
