We're marching forward.

Black History isn't made in one month out of the year. Black History marches forward every day, through those inspired by the past, breaking down barriers to empower future generations. That's why we're committed to celebrating and supporting Black communities, customers, and colleagues year-round.

Supporting Black Customers, Colleagues, and Communities

We're a purpose-driven Bank that's committed to helping enrich the lives of Black Customers, Colleagues and Communities. Our commitment to combating systemic Anti-Black racism is part of our resolve towards helping build a more inclusive and equitable tomorrow.

  • We're invested in the economic well-being of Black Customers and businesses and are committed to helping provide financial advice that serves their unique personal and business needs.

  • Through the TD Ready Commitment, we work with Black-focused, Black-led, and Black-serving organizations to help promote financial education, community growth, professional development, culture and art.

  • We're focusing on attracting Black talent, removing barriers that impact Black Colleagues and educating all TD Colleagues on current and past experiences of Black Communities.

Our Commitment in Action

As part of our continuous effort to strengthen and support of racially diverse communities, TD commits to:

  • Contribute $17.5 million towards anti-racism initiatives including $12.1 million in support of Black-led and Black-focused organizations throughout 2020.
  • Double the representation of Black executives at TD by the end of 2022 and increase minority executive representation across the Bank by 50% by 2025. This will include a specific focus on Black and Indigenous talent.
  • Support the Black Opportunity Fund by committing $10 million for the next 5 years, while working with Black businesses, philanthropists and foundations to help address Anti-Black racism.
  • Introduced the TD Black Customer Experience Team, a newly formed team, dedicated to helping serve the unique banking needs of Black Customers.
