We see every day how access to opportunity shapes what’s possible for people, families, and communities. That's why we bring together our business, our colleagues, and our community giving to help expand access to jobs, affordable housing, and opportunities for small businesses to grow.

For decades, TD has been contributing to progress in these areas in the communities we serve. We're proud to support thousands of not-for-profit organizations helping people build financial strength. We look for initiatives that create access to employment and skills development, help people and families access stable, affordable housing and enable entrepreneurs and small businesses to launch, grow and succeed.

How TD supports communities

We believe financial strength starts with opportunity. That's why we focus our community giving on helping people access skills and jobs, affordable housing, and opportunities to start or grow a small business. These are areas where we can have meaningful impact for people, families, and communities.

Creating lasting impact takes more than funding. We work alongside not-for-profit organizations, colleagues, and community leaders to help build strong collaborations, share knowledge, and connect people to the resources they need to succeed.

    development

    A job can change a life.

    We fund programs that help people build employable skills, find work, and navigate career transitions, creating pathways to opportunity and financial confidence as the world of work changes.

    This includes initiatives such as early career support, skills development and certifications, job readiness programs, technology and digital skills training, skilled trades education, and other programs that help prepare for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

  • Housing
    affordability

    A home can anchor a family.

    We support solutions that help people access and maintain stable, affordable housing, because having a secure place to live can change what’s possible for everything that comes next.

    This includes initiatives such as affordable rental housing, supportive housing with wraparound services, transitional housing, housing preservation, and homebuyer education.

  • Entrepreneurship and
    small business support  

    A small business can transform a community. 

    We support initiatives that help entrepreneurs access capital, mentorship, and resources, helping businesses grow, navigate challenges, create jobs, and strengthen the communities around them.

    This includes initiatives such as business planning, financial literacy and access to capital, mentorship, technology adoption, and programs that connect entrepreneurs with the resources and networks they need to succeed.

  • Contributing to a vibrant Canadian music scene

    Music has the power to bring people together, celebrate culture, and strengthen community connections. Through TD Music community giving, we help create opportunities for people to experience, participate in, and connect through music.

  • Supporting environmental initiatives and public green spaces

    Healthy communities depend on healthy environments. Through the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, we support local environmental initiatives that help protect, restore, and sustain green spaces communities rely on.

  • Enabling accessible art experiences 

    Art helps people connect, learn, and see the world in new ways. Through the TD Art Collection and related initiatives, we help expand access to art and cultural experiences.

  • Colleagues making a difference

    Our colleagues play an important role in supporting communities. Through initiatives like TD Skills for Impact, TD Tree Days, our Employee Giving Campaign, and Non-Profit Board Leadership Program, we help colleagues share their skills and expertise, donate, fundraise, and support causes they care about.
