When you open a Canadian account, you also automatically get a free U.S. account that you can use to hold U.S. currency and trade U.S. securities without worrying about currency conversion. You may also purchase U.S. stocks using Canadian currency or vice versa, but a currency conversion will be required on those trades.
- Once you've reviewed a quote and made the decision to trade, tap the buy or sell and finalize your order.
- You can change the account you want to place your trade from/to.

- For a Limit order, enter the price you are willing to buy / sell at (limit price)
- For a Stop Market order, enter the price trigger where your order will be sent as a market order (trigger price)
- For a Stop Limit order, enter the price trigger where your order will be sent as a limit order (trigger price) and the price you are willing to buy / sell at (limit price)
- Enter the dollar amount you want to buy or sell or switch to enter the number of shares/units you want.
- Choose how long you want the order in the market (Good 'til)
- Select Preview order. You can cancel that order if you change your mind. You'll receive any warnings about the order such as in the application of foreign exchange. Read all the warnings. You can still make changes to the order.
- Select Agree & Send Order. A message appears on your screen confirming the order was received. Select Go to Order Status to check your order.
You'll receive an email notification to let you know when your trading confirmation is available in eServices. A trade confirmation is filed in Documents (eServices) the day after a trade is executed.
TD Easy TradeTM keeps them on file for you for 7 years.
Check the order status to see if the orders are open or filled (executed). You can change or cancel open orders.
A TD Easy TradeTM account offers both Canadian and U.S. currency components. In fact, when you open a TD Easy TradeTM account, you automatically get both Canadian and U.S. currency components for a TFSA, RRSP, and Cash (or any combination of the three).
There will be a first-time conversion from Canadian currency when funding your U.S. dollar account. After that, there is no currency conversion cost when the currency of trade and the account used to place the trade is the same.

You can access the TD Easy TradeTM app using your mobile phone and tablet. You can't access it using a desktop browser.

You can set up a recurring cash transfer to your Easy TradeTM account quickly and securely in just a few steps.
Note the originating account must meet the following qualifiers:
- You must be the holder of both accounts
- The originating account must be a Canadian chequing or savings account at a participating financial institution
Watch our video to get started or follow these steps:
- Login to Easy TradeTM
- From the navigation bar select Transfers > From Outside TD > Recurring.
- Once you consent, you will be redirected to a secure link to choose your other financial institution and log in to digitally link your accounts. TD does not collect or store your other financial institution bank login details at any time during the flow.
- You will be redirected back to Easy TradeTM to select the frequency and amount for your recurring transfer.
Any new recurring transfer setup must be submitted at least 3 business days in advance of first requested transfer date. You can review the details and status of your submission in your transfer history for up to 60 days.
