Acquisition History 2005
In 2005, TD Bank Group (TD) continued to grow its personal and commercial banking footprint in the United States, with the acquisition of Hudson United Bancorp by TD Banknorth, and in wealth management in Canada, with the acquisition of Ameritrade’s Canadian brokerage operations and the execution only retail brokerage accounts from London-based American Express Financial Services Europe Ltd.
