Yes! With TD Easy Trade you can buy publicly traded stocks and ETFs in Canadian and U.S. dollars. When you open a Canadian account, you also automatically get a free U.S. account that you can use to hold U.S. dollars and trade U.S. stocks and ETFs without worrying about currency conversion. You can also buy U.S. stocks using Canadian currency, or Canadian stocks using U.S. currency, which will include a competitive market exchange rate.
