Welcome to the TD Online Mart Merchant Portal, powered by Worldline getting started series. In the third video of our series, we’ll cover how to use your test account for processing using the functionalities of Web Terminal, and testing with 3rd party applications to connect your shopping cart.
Chapter 1: Using Your Test Account
During the testing phase of your account, the web terminal plays a critical role. It allows you to view the entire transaction process, from initiation to completion, without actually sending any real information to the banking network.
The web terminal, easily found in your merchant portal under 'Processing > Web Terminal', is specifically designed for manually processing credit card information. It's an ideal tool for one-time transaction simulations.
It's important to note that during this phase, only test credit cards can be used. These cards are designed for testing purposes in an authorized/test mode.
To perform a test transaction, simply fill in the details: the cardholder's name, a test credit card number, expiration date, CVV2 or CVC2, the transaction type, sale amount, and an order number.

After entering these details, click ‘Submit Transaction’ to process your test transaction. This will not affect real accounts or actual funds.
You can review the results of your test transactions by navigating to the transaction report page under reporting/analysis in your merchant portal.
Now, let's talk about how to test credit cards. During the testing or authorized phase of your account, you can use these cards to simulate transactions, ensuring your system is correctly set up.
To begin testing with credit cards, follow these steps: Go to the processing section in the portal. Select your desired payment option: Web Terminal or Custom Web Terminal. For an approved transaction, fill out any name, the address 2659 Douglas St, V8T 4M3, an expiry date for any date in the future from your current date, and select one of our test credit card numbers.
Remember, these test credit cards are only for use in test accounts. They won't work on live accounts, and real credit card numbers will decline in test mode.

Chapter 2: Testing your Web Terminal
The Web Terminal is ideally used for transactions over the phone. As a business, you can enter credit card details on behalf of your customers to process transactions in a PCI secure manner.
Before you start, ensure that your account has the Web Terminal feature enabled and that your user profile has full access to payment processing. To do this......
To process a transaction using the Web Terminal, follow these steps: First, navigate to 'Processing > Web Terminal' within the portal.
Next, fill in the payment information required for the transaction. This includes the full credit card details, such as the card number and CVD for Canadian merchants.
You have the option to view a transaction receipt after submission. To do this, select 'Show transaction receipt after Submit Transaction'.
Finally, complete the payment process by clicking ‘Submit Transaction’. Remember, while the billing address is optional, the complete credit card details are mandatory for processing.
By following these steps, you can efficiently use the Web Terminal for your business's over-the-phone transactions, ensuring a smoother and more secure payment process.
Chapter 3: Testing with 3rd Party Applications: Connecting Your Shopping Cart
In this section, we'll guide you on how to connect your shopping cart to TD Online Mart, powered by Worldline, utilizing our Payments API for secure transaction processing.
If you want to test your processing within a 3rd party system, your company website, or a shopping cart provider then you will need to verify your payment gateway API/Integration information. Within your TD Online Mart - Merchant Portal select Administration > Account Settings > Order Settings and scroll down to ‘Payment Gateway’.
Check with your 3rd party program, shopping cart provider, or web development team to identify which of the three integration methods between API Passcode, Username/Password, and Hash Key are being used for your account.
Make sure that the information for your integration method is identical to what is being entered in your 3rd party program, shopping cart provider, or company website. We recommend processing a transaction to confirm successful integration.
You may review the results of your test transaction by navigating to Reporting/Analysis > Transaction Report page.
Once you are in the Transaction Report click the transaction you made to see the details of the payment you just processed.
One way to process payments through TD Online Mart, is to connect your shopping cart to our Payments API. To reduce the risk of illegitimate transactions, it’s required to include proper authentication when making requests via our Payments API.
Authentication is how you sync up your software or shopping cart with TD Online Mart. Once enabled, the transactions are processed by validating the authentication and confirming the transactions are being sent from your shopping cart, much like a secret handshake.
Incorrect integration can lead to transactions not reaching your TD Online Mart account, resulting in error messages. Ensure your shopping cart is set up correctly for seamless integration. Your shopping cart provider should be able to help with any integration questions.
Depending on your shopping cart’s requirements, you'll need to enter specific authentication details along with your merchant ID into the shopping cart configuration.
For an API Passcode authentication, navigate in the portal to Administration > Account Settings > Order Settings. Here, find the API Passcode option, generate a new code, update, and confirm.
If using a Hash Key, follow similar steps. Enable hash validation, enter a Hash Key, select the hash algorithm type, update, and confirm.
For username/password validation, enter the required username and password in the specified fields, update, and confirm the settings.
Remember, there are various third-party plugins available for integration. For any plugin-specific questions, contact the developer directly. Note that TD Online Mart does not use Secret Token, so plugins requiring this won’t be compatible.
By following these steps, you can effectively connect your shopping cart to TD Online Mart, powered by Worldline, and help ensure secure and efficient transaction processing.
