Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Fees help us deliver the reliable banking services we provide to you. This includes secure account management, processing free transactions (up to a limit), Interac e-Transfers, running our network of over 1,000 branches and 3,400 ATMs, and providing mobile, telephone and online banking, and more.
Keep in mind, accounts with higher monthly fees include more benefits.
Looking to avoid paying a monthly fee? Keep the minimum balance in your account, if applicable.
Keep the minimum balance in your account at the end of every day of the month to avoid the monthly fee. Your account balance is calculated daily, so if your balance drops below the minimum, you will be charged the monthly fee.
You can avoid monthly account fees on select TD chequing accounts by maintaining the minimum daily balance every day of the month.
A transaction includes actions that involve money moving out of your account such as, but not limited to, debit purchases, bill payments, Pre-Authorized Payments, withdrawals, and transfers (including Interac e-Transfers®, cheques, etc.)
It's simple. Use EasyWeb® Online banking or the TD app to transfer funds from your savings account to your chequing account.
An NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) fee is what’s charged when there are not enough funds in your account to cover a transaction, such as a Pre-Authorized Payment or a cheque. It is charged each time the item is presented for payment.
