TD Aeroplan Benefits Overview

Additional Cardholders¹ can enjoy the same travel benefits—even if the Primary Cardholder is not travelling.

Here’s what to do:

• Step 1: Have your own Aeroplan number.
  Don't have one? Go to https://www.aircanada.com/aeroplan/member/enrolment?lang=en-CA to create one.
  Need to make a change? Call 1-833-835-1444 to have your Aeroplan number updated.
  Each Additional Cardholder needs their own Aeroplan number.
• Step 2: Link it to your TD Aeroplan Credit Card.
  Visit aircanada.com/linkmycard
• Step 3: Add your Aeroplan number to your booking.
  Your number must appear on your reservation and boarding pass.

TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite*, TD® Aeroplan® Business Visa*, and TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Cardholders automatically get a free first checked bag².

1. Book a flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, or Air Canada Express
2. Add your Aeroplan number to your reservation
3. Make sure your Aeroplan number shows on your boarding pass

This benefit is for your first checked bag only. If your fare already includes a free first checked bag, you don't get an extra one for free.

With your TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card, you can earn one Worldwide Companion Pass³ every year.

This pass lets you bring one person with you on an eligible Air Canada flight at a fixed base fare.

How you earn it
Spend $25,000 on your card. This must be in net purchases in the 12 months prior to your card renewal date.

The pass will be deposited into your Aeroplan account up to 10 weeks after your cardholder renewal date.

How you use it
Once the pass appears in your Aeroplan account:

1. Log in to your Aeroplan account on aircanada.com
2. Go to “Benefits” and select “Annual Companion Pass”
3. Choose “Book a Flight” from that page
4. Enter your trip details for two travelers (you and your companion must be on the same booking)
5. Apply the Companion Pass before searching
6. Look for companion pass icon next to eligible flights, select flight and complete checkout

Important to know

• The Companion Pass is earned each year—it is not automatic
• You must spend $25,000 (less any returns and credits) before your renewal date
• The pass is issued after renewal, not when you spend $25,000
• Valid on eligible Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and Air Canada Express flights
• The companion pays a discounted base fare, plus taxes and fees

TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card

Primary Cardholder: 

• You can enter the lounge when travelling on a same-day eligible flight.
• You may bring one guest travelling that same day.
• Your guest does not need to be on the same booking.
   

Additional Cardholder:
An Additional Cardholder can also enter the lounge.
They must:

• Have their own Aeroplan number linked to their card.
  Don't have one? Go to https://www.aircanada.com/aeroplan/member/enrolment?lang=en-CA to create one.
  Need to make a change? Call 1-833-835-1444 to have your Aeroplan number updated.
• Be travelling on a same-day eligible flight

They do not need to travel with the Primary Cardholder.
Additional Cardholders may also bring one guest travelling that same day.
 

Eligible flights
You must be travelling on a same-day flight operated by:

• Air Canada
• Air Canada Rouge
• Air Canada Express
• A Star Alliance airline (when an Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge⁴ is available)
  

Important to know

• Guest must be travelling the same day
• Access is subject to space availability
• Benefit cannot be transferred
• Lounge rules may vary by location
• Access to Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafes are within three hours of your scheduled departure time (or of your original departure time in the case of a flight delay).

How you earn passes

• You can earn up to 4 passes per year. Earn a pass for every $10,000 net purchases (less any returns and credits) on your card before your renewal date.
• Renew your card
• Wait 2 weeks after your card renewal
• Your earned passes will be added to your Aeroplan account after your renewal date
   

When does it appear?

• 2 weeks after your card renewal
   

How to use a pass

• Travel on a same-day eligible flight
• Make sure your Aeroplan number is linked to your card
• Present your boarding pass at the lounge
• Each pass is valid for one visit.

Eligible flights
You must be travelling on a same-day flight operated by:

• Air Canada
• Air Canada Rouge
• Air Canada Express
• A Star Alliance airline (when an Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is available)
   

Important to know

• Maximum of 4 passes per year
• Passes do not roll over
• Not valid at international Maple Leaf Lounges located in Canadian international departure zones
• Access is subject to space availability
• Passes cannot be transferred

Earn points when you use your card.

1. You earn points on everyday purchases like:

• Air Canada flights
• Groceries
• Gas
• Travel purchases

Some categories earn more points depending on your card type.

2. Earn points when you travel or use partners. You can also earn points by:

• Flying with Air Canada
• Flying with Star Alliance partners
• Booking hotels or car rentals
• Shopping with partners like Starbucks, Uber, and more

Earn points twice when you shop online at your favourite stores via Aeroplan eStore⁵.

You earn points from the store plus the points from your TD Aeroplan Credit Card.

How to earn points

1. Go to the Aeroplan eStore first. Visit aeroplan.rewardops.com.
2. Log in to your Aeroplan account
3. Choose a store and click “Shop Now.” This takes you to the store’s website.
4. Complete your purchase

Important to know

• You must start your shopping trip in the Aeroplan eStore
• Do not use ad blockers or coupon extensions, as this may affect tracking. Check the store’s How to Earn and Exclusions sections at the bottom of the store’s page.
• Points are awarded by Air Canada after the store confirms your purchase
• Return or cancelled purchases will not earn points

You can accumulate Status Qualifying Credits (SQC) towards Aeroplan Elite status⁶ if you have a:

• TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card (Primary Cardholders can get 1,000 SQC for every $20,000 in eligible net purchases on the card account)
• TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Credit Card (Primary Cardholders can get 1,000 SQC for every $5,000 in eligible net purchases on the card account)
• TD® Aeroplan® Visa* Business Card (Primary Cardholders can get 1,000 SQC for every $20,000 in eligible net purchases on the card account).
   

Aeroplan credit card spend and the spend from any secondary Aeroplan credit cardholders on your account will award you with SQC, up to a combined maximum total of 25,000 SQC per Aeroplan Member, per calendar year.

This total is cumulative across all Aeroplan credit cards and issuers which means you can reach Elite Status simply based on everyday spend and can accelerate progress towards unlocking your next Milestone Benefit.
