Interac Flash® Spend Limits:
For your protection, a PIN is needed for purchases over $250 or multiple consecutive Interac Flash® purchases totaling $500.

Use your Visa Debit to:

- Pay recurring bills like internet, phone, or utilities
Shop in-store worldwide with Visa Debit
Visa Debit on your TD Access Card is accepted in over 200 countries outside Canada. It also lets you withdraw cash at more than 2.2 million ATMs worldwide where Visa is accepted1.
Use Visa Debit to:
- Select "Debit" when prompted between "Debit" or "Credit"
- Enter your PIN or sign a receipt at some retailers
- Withdraw cash at ATMs5 displaying the Visa acceptance mark

When you make foreign currency purchases with your TD Access Card, different fees apply depending on your card type:
If your TD Access Card has a Visa Debit logo:
- A foreign exchange fee of 3.5% is charged on the Canadian dollar amount after converting from the foreign currency.
- The conversion rate is set by Visa International.
If your TD Access Card does not have a Visa Debit logo (uses NYCE):
- A foreign exchange fee of 3.5% is added to the exchange rate set by Interac®.
TD Access Cards are designed with security in mind.
- Each card has an embedded microchip that stores information in a secure, encrypted format
- This helps prevent unauthorized users from copying or accessing your information when using chip-enabled terminals or ATMs
It’s easy to reset your Personal Identification Number (PIN). You can do this at a TD ATM or by visiting your branch.
At any TD Bank Green Machine ATM:
- Insert your card and select Change PIN from the Welcome screen
- If you have a customized Welcome screen, select More Transactions to find the Change PIN option
If you’ve forgotten your PIN, you’ll need to visit your branch
At any TD Canada Trust branch:
- Visit your local branch
- A Customer Service representative will assist you with changing your PIN

Follow these steps in the TD app:
Log in to the TD app
Tap the main menu (top left corner) and select Banking Services
Select Transaction Limits
You can also find this information under the Summary tab on your Chequing account page in the app.
Transaction Fee
- $3 per withdrawal in the United States or Mexico
- $5 per withdrawal in any other country outside of Canada, the U.S., or Mexico
- No service fees at TD Bank, AMCB ATMs
- No service fees if you have a TD All-Inclusive Banking Plan or a TD Wealth Private Banking Account
Foreign Exchange Fee
- The total transaction amount, including any ATM provider fees, is converted to Canadian dollars based on the Visa International* exchange rate in effect on the date the transaction is posted to your account
- A fee equal to 3.5% of the total converted transaction amount is charged
It's recommended to create a PIN of your choice that is at least four digits long.
Change your PIN at any time:
- Visit any TD branch to change your PIN after verifying your identity
- If you forget your PIN, visit a branch to receive a new one
- You can also change your PIN at any TD ATM
Always protect your PIN:
- Never share your PIN with anyone
- Keep your PIN and Credentials separate from your Card
- Choose a PIN that’s not easy to guess (avoid your birthday, phone number, or address)
- When entering your PIN, shield the keypad to keep it private
Using your TD Access Card internationally:
- Use a 4-digit PIN to access ATMs outside Canada using the Visa PLUS network
- Make sure the TD Canada Trust accounts you want to access are linked to your Chequing account
- Find a PLUS ATM at your next destination

- Applies to unauthorized Interac Flash® transactions
- You are not liable for unauthorized transactions if you’ve met your obligations under the Access Agreement
Interac Flash® Spend Limits
- For your protection, a PIN is required for:
- Single purchases over $250
- Multiple consecutive Interac Flash® purchases that exceed $5004

If Interac Flash® is enabled:
- Your card may be used for a single tap transaction up to $250, or up to $500 in consecutive transactions without a PIN
Extra protection with the TD app:
- Lock Card – Use this feature to temporarily disable certain transactions if you've misplaced your card
